iPhone app ‘Discover Delft’ helps, surprises and inspires
“What shall I do in Delft today?” From March 2012, visitors to Delft can find the answer on the free ‘Discover Delft’ iPhone app. This app provides all the information you need about things to see and do in Delft.
Make my day!
The ‘Discover Delft’ iPhone app features the functionality "Make my Day". With one touch of the button, the app provides daily tips for a fun day out in Delft. The programme always suggests one place of interest (museum, gallery or visitor attraction), one café or restaurant, one shop and one activity for the day. If the one-day programme is not to your liking, the app will effortlessly suggest an alternative.
An app based on opening hours
"Make my Day" is configured to the opening hours of all the major hotspots in Delft. If you use the app in the morning, the programme will mainly suggest museums, cafes, cafeterias and lunchrooms. In the late afternoon, the app will feature restaurants, while a range of nightlife options is provided later in the evening. In other words, you are highly unlikely to find yourself standing in front of a closed door.
Other functionalities
Besides "Make my Day", the app allows you to navigate to all of Delft’s hotspots via Google Maps. Each hotspot has a page featuring atmospheric photos and contact details. Personal favourites can be added to your list of favourites. And last but not least, this app provides practical information about the city, such as parking.
Practical information
The free app will be available in Dutch and English in the App Store from March 2012.
