Experience science in the new Science Centre Delft

Hands on! That’s what it’s all about at the new Science Centre Delft. This is the place to discover what science and technology can mean for society. Visitors are invited to help devise solutions and to participate. It is a special spot where residents, tourists, students, pupils and scientists can meet.
Testing and trying out
Visitors can test and try out all kinds of experiments, based on research performed at the Technical University of Delft. For example, they can design their own aeroplane wing or play a “serious game” (such as preventing a dike from collapsing) in the game lab. There is also a “Nuna race game” designed by Delft students. Using the operation simulator, visitors can also discover how surgeons prepare themselves, while the film studio shows the person behind the technology in the film studio, a spectacle shown on multiple screens and in holograms.
Workplaces
In the workplaces at Science Centre Delft, visitors are challenged to design and build in the same area where the students and scientists work. All sorts of techniques that have been developed can be tested in special labs such as the robot lab and a sports lab.
